Jamestown has signed coworking company Centrl Office to a 34,000-square-foot lease at Waterfront Plaza in San Francisco, complementing the Northern Waterfront’s recent influx of industries to the sub-market with flexible workspace solutions that will serve the area’s growing innovation community.
The West Coast-based coworking company will provide a modern, flexible office environment featuring private offices, coworking memberships and meeting facilities with an opening planned for early 2026.
“The Northern Waterfront has seen tremendous leasing momentum with innovative, high-growth companies—adding coworking expands our move-in-ready offerings and provides the flexibility these tenants need,” said Alex Schwiebert, West Coast regional market Lleader at Jamestown. “Many of today’s fastest-growing companies, especially in AI, need to occupy space quickly and scale flexibly. By co-locating coworking with furnished suites and traditional offices, we’re creating a complete ecosystem that supports companies at any stage.”
Centrl Office, which already operates in Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Ore. and Sacramento offers a flexible alternative to traditional office leases with month-to-month memberships, short-term private offices and reservable meeting rooms. The company serves a diverse mix of not only individual workers and small businesses needing access to professional workspace and amenities, but also large companies establishing satellite locations and quickly expanding their workforce.
Waterfront Plaza offers tenants contemporary and adaptable workspaces in a campus environment with access to the Embarcadero and views of the San Francisco Bay. Amenities include bike storage with private showers and towel service, convenient parking, and a wide range of nearby dining options. For commuters, the complex has ample parking and is well-connected with nearby BART stations and shuttle services, and features plenty of green space for tenants to enjoy during the workday.
“We’ve been wanting to open a location in San Francisco for years, but hadn’t found the right opportunity,” said Alex Hughes, co-founder of Centrl Office. “When Waterfront Plaza hit our radar, we got excited. From the energy of the area to the potential of the space itself, the more we explored it, the more it felt like everything clicked.”
