TF Cornerstone announced that Optima Salon Suites has signed a 2,388-square-foot retail lease at Chelsea Centro, TFC’s residential development located at 278 7th Avenue. The beauty concept, which leases fully customizable studio spaces to independent beauty professionals, will occupy the ground floor.
Founded in 2018, Optima Salon Suites provides the framework and structure to help beauty professionals launch their business. The suites range in size depending on individualized business needs, and tenants can design and decorate their space with artwork, furniture and other decor. This transaction marks Optima Salon Suites’ second NYC location within a TFC building, following 94 Gansevoort Street in Meatpacking District.
“Optima Salon Suites brings a highly experiential and service-driven concept to Chelsea Centro,” said Steve Gonzalez, vice president of retail leasing at TFC. “Centrally located in one of Manhattan’s most dynamic and sought-after neighborhoods, this concept adds to the diversity of offerings in the area and complements the vibrant mix of businesses that define Chelsea.”
Designed by renowned architectural firm Costas Kondylis, the 18-story Chelsea Centro has 356 residential units, two landscaped roof decks, two fitness centers and a ground floor of over 43,000-square feet devoted to commercial use.

TFC was represented in the transaction by Danyiel Cohen, Thomas Galo, and Steven Baker of RTL. Optima Salon Suites was also represented by RTL.
