McKenzie Ryan, one of Douglas Elliman’s agents in New York City, announced her expansion into the London market, having secured exclusive U.S. representation for several of the city’s most prominent new development projects.

The roster includes Park Hyatt Residences, opening this September; SEVEN, River Park Tower and The Broadway.

The expansion is the latest step in a broader repositioning of Ryan’s business toward the ultra-luxury market, where she has spent recent months realigning her brand, client base and strategy around legacy properties and the ultra-high-net-worth buyers who invest in them.

“As capital continues to move globally, my clients are making increasingly deliberate decisions about where and how they invest and London has emerged as a clear focus,” said Ryan. “Prime London real estate offers something truly rare—the ability to diversify a portfolio while gaining access to one of the world’s great cities, with unmatched culture, lifestyle and global connectivity. Guiding my clients through that kind of long-view decision-making is exactly what I do, and expanding to London was a natural extension of that trusted relationship. With exclusive representation on the ground and a long-standing partnership with JLL, I’m now able to advise my clients across both markets ensuring every acquisition is executed with the same level of intention and oversight I’ve always brought to New York.”

Ryan’s London arrival comes at a moment when American buyers are reshaping the city’s luxury landscape. U.S. residents now account for nearly 25% of all super-prime London purchases, and inquiries from American buyers hit an eight-year high in early 2025. Analysts point to a combination of factors behind the shift—a strong dollar, a desire among wealthy buyers to diversify assets geographically and broader geopolitical uncertainty pushing capital across the Atlantic.

With her new developer partnerships, Ryan positions herself at the center of that flow of capital, serving as a bridge between New York’s ultra-luxury buyers and London’s most exclusive addresses, while also opening a pathway to UK, UAE and Asian clientele through her developer relationships.

“McKenzie has built a reputation in New York on precision and trust with a demanding client base and now she is positioned to bring that same standard to buyers moving between New York and London,” said Michael S. Leibowitz, president and CEO of Douglas Elliman Inc. “This is a strong step for her and for Douglas Elliman’s presence in the international luxury market.”

As more capital moves across borders and more buyers treat real estate as a global portfolio decision rather than a local one, Ryan’s expansion signals a broader shift in how top-tier agents are positioning themselves as trusted wealth advisors who can move with their clients wherever their money goes next.
