Hundred Stories PR launched the inaugural NYC Real Estate “22 Under 22,” a new annual recognition program spotlighting 22 exceptional young people helping shape the future of New York City’s real estate industry.
“While the industry has long celebrated rising stars through recognitions such as Crain’s 40 Under 40, there has never been a comparable platform solely dedicated to young talent at the very beginning of their careers. 22 Under 22 was created to change that,” said Robin Dolch, founder of Hundred Stories PR. “Some of the most impressive people entering this industry are still students or interns. They may not have years of experience or impressive titles yet, but they are already showing the curiosity, ambition and ability that will define the next generation of New York real estate.”
An internship may last only a few months, but an exceptional intern can make an impact. Rather than focusing on titles or years of experience, 22 Under 22 seeks to recognize young people who have already demonstrated the qualities of future industry leaders–whether by taking initiative beyond their responsibilities, making meaningful contributions, earning the respect of senior leaders, or showing unusual ambition and potential.
By recognizing exceptional young talent, 22 Under 22 also aims to shine a light on the companies and organizations that invest meaningfully in their internship programs and make the effort to give young people opportunities to learn, contribute and grow. Behind many exceptional young professionals are companies that have dedicated significant time, resources, mentorship and energy to developing their talent. 22 Under 22 believes those companies deserve recognition as well for creating environments where the next generation of real estate leaders can thrive.
“The honorees will be individuals who made an exceptional impression and demonstrated the potential to become future leaders in the industry,” continued Dolch.
Following the nomination period, all candidates will be reviewed by a selection committee of leaders and professionals from across New York’s real estate industry. The committee will select the 22 inaugural honorees, with the goal of highlighting a broad range of exceptional young talent from across the industry.
Nominations are now open. Companies, managers, colleagues, mentors and others who know an exceptional young person in NYC real estate are invited to submit a nomination. Nominees may be current or former interns from 2026 or previous years, as well as young entrepreneurs and employees who are 21 or younger and have demonstrated exceptional initiative, impact, character, or potential within NYC’s real estate industry.
Eligibility is based on the age the nominee began their 2026 internship. Anyone who was under 22 when they began their internship this summer remains eligible, even if they turned 22 during or after the internship ended. For founders, employees and other nominees who are not participating in a 2026 internship, the nominee must be 21 or younger at the time of submitting the application.
Nominations can be submitted through the nomination form or by emailing directly at 22under22@HundredStoriesPR.com with the nominee’s information, key accomplishments and why they stand out.
The deadline for nominations is September 29th. The inaugural 22 Under 22 honorees will be announced in November 2026.
