EFC Gases & Advanced Materials (“EFC”), a global supplier of specialty gases and advanced materials, celebrated the groundbreaking of its new advanced manufacturing facility in McGregor, Texas on September 15, 2026.
The project represents a significant investment in expanding domestic production of high-purity materials critical to semiconductor manufacturing and strengthening the U.S. semiconductor supply chain.
Located on 195 acres in McGregor, the new facility will establish a major manufacturing and distribution hub in the heart of one of the nation’s fastest-growing semiconductor ecosystems. Texas is home to significant existing and planned semiconductor manufacturing capacity, and EFC selected McGregor to position the company close to the customers and fabs it will serve.
The McGregor investment builds on EFC’s existing U.S. manufacturing operations and reflects the company’s broader commitment to expanding resilient domestic supply chains for critical advanced materials. The campus is envisioned as a long-term platform for continued investment, enabling EFC to add new products and capabilities in response to the needs of semiconductor customers in Texas and across the United States.

EFC-McGregor is expected to create a minimum of 65 full-time jobs during its initial phase of operations, with additional growth anticipated as the McGregor campus expands. Following EFC’s acquisition by Element Solutions Inc. (ESI) earlier this year, the project is well positioned for continued growth, bringing additional advanced materials and manufacturing capabilities from across ESI’s portfolio to McGregor, and supporting a significantly larger workforce.
