Construction technology investment rose 30% year-over-year in Q2 2026, and AI-powered tools are still attracting capital, including Buildots’ $130 million raise in September.
Spacial, an AI-powered structural engineering platform for residential construction, is one of the companies building those tools, and for the first time, they are offering the chance to look under the hood and see exactly how Spacial’s technology works.
Spacial recently launched a high-level overview of its tool and technology that walks through the company’s Construction World Model—a physics- and force-aware construction model that effectively turns two-dimensional building plans into multi-dimensional designs. The overview also includes a two-minute video that further explains how the model operates.
The main challenge in building models is that they rely on separate plans created by different teams, such as architects, structural engineers, electricians and plumbers. They don’t share a single model, and when they come together, a series of 2D plans can reveal errors or miscalculations. Spacial’s tool flags those issues early in the process, allowing review and revision, potentially saving time and money before shovels hit the ground.
