If athleisure apparel and an Italian tailor had a baby, you would have Sene’s custom FlexTech suit. Los Angeles-based Sene, known for its minimalist aesthetic on custom-made clothes, has launched a custom version of the modern suit with technical fabrics.
While custom tailoring has traditionally been restricted to men, Sene has designed collections for both women and men. Sene’s Flex Tech material is created in the same Japanese mill as Lululemon’s successful ABC shorts and pants line that launched in 2014.
“Technical fabrics have already revolutionized casual wear. Now it’s time to remix the custom tailoring with performance fabrics that look sharp and are insanely comfortable,” said Ray Li, founder and CEO of Sene. “Plus, it’s also time technical fabrics like this are also made available for women.”
The fabric features four-way stretch and moisture wicking technology — the fibers drag out the sweat when you’re hot and regulates your body heat while it cools.
Sene strives to empower people of all shapes and sizes by using a zero body measurement process. Customers receive a Home Try-On Box of standard size samples that are matched to a digital shape. A Sene fit specialist will work with the customer over videochat to understand how the fit should change to to the preferred size and fit of the customer. The custom garment is then made-to-order for the customer and arrives in one to three weeks.
In-store appointments are also available at Sene’s Los Angeles flagship store.
