A Supreme Court is in the balance. A woman’s right to choose is in danger. Healthcare is being threatened. And a President who bragged about abusing women on tape is trying to get re-elected. Never in our lifetime has voting been more important. And to encourage people to go to the polls and share their voice, Go Dash Dot is launching a “Go Vote!” campaign that will connect people to voter registration methods and offer a 30 percent discount to anyone who submits their ballot.
“Our country is broken. Now more than ever, we need to come out and fight for the basics – life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” says Go Dash Dot founder Hannah Fastov. “This starts with voting.”
Fastov, one of fashion’s youngest female leaders, was inspired to create Go Dash Dot as a means to empower women by giving them bag styles that serve any part of their busy lives, whether it’s work, gym, family outings, social occasions and travel. The bags, sleek and stylish, are also highly functional, allowing the woman-on-the-go to accomplish anything she wants throughout her day.
“We want to provide our community of ambitious, creative, and irreverent women with the tools to have their voice be heard and continue the cycle of empowered women empowering other women,” says Fastov. “My direct goal for Go Dash Dot is to embrace and celebrate the multifaceted lives of women and provide them with functional, fashionable bags. More broadly, my goal is to empower women to feel successful, exercise her rights, and find her power to fight for what she believes in.”
As part of this, any woman who votes will get a discount on any style in the Go Dash Dot collection.
“As American women, we have won our right to vote. As American citizens, it is our responsibility to vote,” says Fastov.
Go Dash Dot was founded in 2016 by Fastov, who has previously worked in product development and merchandising with Brooks Brothers and Rag and Bone. She sought to create a stylish line of bags for women that could serve multiple purposes: work, social engagements, gym, travel and other activities in a busy woman’s life. “It had to be fashionable, function and timeless” was the mission, Fastov said. She and her small team went to work creating several styles, including totes, backpacks, crossbodies and the signature “puffle,” which she imagined as a re-imagined duffel worn as a hand or shoulder bag or crossbody. The bags are thoroughly unique, featuring a separate compartment for footwear, padded laptop section, a snap in snap out pouch that can be worn as a crossbody or belt bag, laundry pouch, cell phone pocket, tons of additional pockets and compartments, and completely machine washable. They also come in a variety of colors. “The Go Dash Dot woman is active, ambitious, and fun loving. One adventure leads to the next and she needs a bag that can keep up with her,” Fastov says.
