Stitch Fix launched Stitch Fix Vision, a style visualization tool powered by GenAI. Now in beta, Vision offers an innovative and convenient approach to style discovery, providing clients with personalized imagery of their likeness in a wide array of shoppable outfit recommendations based on their own style profile and the latest fashion trends.

“When Stitch Fix launched nearly 15 years ago, we disrupted the retail market, and today we are rewriting the retail playbook once again with our latest suite of innovations, including Stitch Fix Vision,” said Matt Baer, CEO, Stitch Fix. “We have billions of data points on our clients’ fit and style preferences, and we are using these insights—as well as the latest in GenAI technology, our assortment of leading brands and the expertise of our stylists—to deliver ultra-personalization at scale and bring to life new ways for clients to discover the styles they will love.”

How Stitch Fix Vision Works

With Vision, clients will receive personalized images of “themselves” styled in the latest looks and trends. Leveraging Stitch Fix’s proprietary algorithms and deep client data, combined with the expertise of Stitch Fix stylists, Vision curates complete outfits tailored to each client’s unique preferences. In addition to clients seeing their likeness in a variety of styles, they will see themselves in a wide range of locations—from a busy city street to a beach vacation—to help them visualize how different outfits will look in different environments. Vision images are shoppable, enabling clients to purchase an item directly or request that it be put in their next fix. Images can be easily saved or shared on social media with friends and followers.

To access Vision, clients simply upload a selfie and full-length photo through the Stitch Fix app. From there, they will receive their first set of images, after which they will be sent a fresh drop on a weekly basis. Images will be available in the client’s personal Vision gallery to provide them with a library of outfit inspiration.

“We believe shopping for clothes should be easy and fun, and that everyone should feel confident in what they wear,” added Tony Bacos, chief product and technology officer, Stitch Fix. “Vision delivers on both, providing first-of-its-kind personal style visualization and inspiration. It is an entirely new approach to style discovery, unlike any of the existing ‘virtual try on’ experiences that require shoppers to do all the work.”
