Miami Swimwear Fashion Week, the largest swim and resort fashion event in the world, kicked off their 2021 season this week, with events running until Sunday, July 11. The event is produced by 2021 Fashion Icon winner Celia Evans, founder and CEO of Planet Fashion TV. Miami Swim Week will be the first fully live, full capacity fashion event to take place since the COVID-19 shutdown. The selected brands represent the industry’s cultural diversity along with styles that are on trend. The swim trade show will take place the following week.
On Thursday July 8, Planet Fashion TV will host an invitation-only influencer/celebrity dinner at Red Steakhouse. Friday July 9 kicks off at The Plymouth Hotel, as Planet Fashion TV presents capsule collection fashion shows featuring emerging designers such as PNDMC, featuring a collection created by Shervan McClain, who is the first African American male swimwear designer to show at Swim Week; LA brands Seeker of Sunshine, Rys, and Beau Swim; Lascana, a German brand that will present their 2022 global swim collection; Hypeach, started by southern California couple Brian and Marlo Hovis; and Ema Savahl, whose recent designers were featured on Miss Universe contestants in 2021.
