45R, the Japanese artisanal clothing brand, launched its “Gingham Dot Crossover” cruise collection for Summer 2025—where two timeless patterns merge into one through the philosophy of Naimonozukuri (creating things that don’t yet exist, but should).
In a feat only achievable through meticulous Japanese craftsmanship, 45R’s artisans spent months perfecting a technique that seamlessly fuses gingham and dot patterns into singular fabrics. Each garment embodies nearly five decades of textile innovation, crafted entirely in Japan to grow more beautiful with time—designed to become future vintage.
“At 45R, we’re always working on something new—somewhere along the line, Naimonozukuri became our unofficial company creed,” said Shinji Takahashi, president of 45R. “Our long years of work to establish 45R overseas have produced tangible results, and it’s both deeply moving and sincerely appreciated.”
