The New York Fashion Tech Lab held its sixth annual Tech Runway Demo Day at InStyle & Meredith Corporation. The eight 2019 Lab Companies presented their fashion and retail focused technology companies to over 250 invited guests.
According to the welcome letter penned by Kay Koplovitz and Amy Millman of Springboard Enterprises and Jackie Trebilcock of NYTLab, this year’s participating lab companies, hand selected by the retail, fashion and technology partners, focused on the use of AR, last-mile delivery, advanced consumer rewards, integrated video, social shopping and robotics.
The 2019 lab companies included the following:
BuyWith
BuyWith is a Tel Aviv-based social layer embedded on e-commerce websites enabling shoppers to chat and co-browse with friends or influencers. Adi Ronen is the co-founder and CEO.
Euveka
Euveka is a Paris-based biometric robot-mannequin from garment concept to production. Audrey Bergenthal is the president and CEO, and Manon Wong is innovation and strategy director.
Fuse.it
Fuse.it is a Los Angeles-based company that uses AR and user generated content to provide brands with unlimited organic reach. List Sade-Sternberg is the CEO.
Jumper.ai
Jumper.ai is a Singapore-based automated and instant commerce platform on social media — no apps or websites necessary. Nyha Shree is the co-founder.
Modist
Modist is the London-based in-store consumer engagement for fashion brands and retailers. Jamilia Jamani is the founder and CEO.
Perksy
New York-based Perksy is a DIY consumer insight platform that powers real-time research through mobile. Nadia Masri is the founder and CEO.
The Call List
New York-based The Call List is an interactive video platform helping brands build relationships and convert audiences to customers. Amanda Patterson is the CEO.
Shipsi
Los Angeles-based Shipsi is an e-commerce solution that empowers any retailer to easily and affordably deliver consumer orders within as little as an hour. Chelsie Lee is the co-founder and CEO.
With the addition of this years’ eight Lab companies, the total number of alumni has increased to 50 fashion tech companies.
The New York Fashion Tech Lab is a community-driven, relationship-building collaboration and business development platform. Since 2014, the program has been at the forefront of retail and fashion technology innovation and integration. The New York Fashion Tech Lab is produced by Springboard Enterprises. Its fashion and retail partners include Foot Locker, Kohl’s, Levi Strauss & Co., LVMH, Macy’s Inc., Matches Fashion, Perry Elish, PVH Corp and Tory Burch. Technology partner was Avery Dennison and Microsoft, and the program partner was Accenture. The venue hosts included Covington, Davis Wright Tremaine, Meredith Corporation and Spring Place.
