In an effort to avoid massive commuting issues as workers return to the office, which it dubs “carmageddon,” transportation information software solution provider TransitScreen has launched CommuteWise 2, a web-based commute planning and management solution.
CommuteWise2 offers mobile app integration for employers’ proprietary applications, sophisticated planning through an advanced AI recommendation engine and enhanced commuter benefits education tools for the hybrid workplace.
CommuteWise was first released in August of 2020 to give employers a single platform to make employee commutes simpler, safer, and affordable. The technology generates custom door-to-door commute plans based on employee specified preferences and real-time transportation availability and fares for public and private commuting options including trains, buses, ferries, private shuttles, commuter-friendly passes, biking and walking routes and parking.
“We surveyed our customers and found now is the key opportunity to help employers simplify the commute planning and decision-making process for employees as they return to office or onboard for the first time from remote work. CommuteWise 2 offers commuters the best trip choices according to their personal preferences and matches them to available employer subsidies, incentives, and pretax benefits. It’s designed to grow with employers and employees as both an easy benefits solution and as the one-stop shop for commuter information,” said Matt Caywood, CEO and Co-founder of TransitScreen.
The new CommuteWise 2 AI recommendation engine generates ideal trip plans based on expanded user preferences including: sustainability considerations for environmental impact, health and wellness options that analyze calories burned per trip and crowding data allowing the user to choose commutes with less exposure to other people.
