Premier Expands Project Management Team

Premier, an end-to-end architecture, design, procurement and project management firm, has hired seven project managers to support the company’s growing hospitality, multifamily, and student-housing portfolios. Each team member brings years of experience that will enhance Premier’s broad industry expertise in a variety of sectors and regions, the company said.

“Our industry-wide reputation for completing projects on time and within budget stems from our incredible project management team,” said Johannes Michalsky, Premier’s senior vice president of project management and corporate engineering. “As Premier continues to grow and navigate issues caused by the pandemic and the supply chain, our new team members will allow the firm to continue to provide top-tier products and services for our clients.”

John M. Irvin has been named senior project manager. He previously served as principal architect for Irvin & Associates, where he managed projects for high-end hotels, multifamily developments, and master-planned communities. Irvin has worked overseas as a Resident Engineer in Doha, Qatar for Burns & McDonnell, and as director of design for the International Hotel Group in Cairo, Egypt.

Derek D. Weaver, project manager, previously worked with National Oilwell Varco as the director of drilling solutions. He managed product sales operations, analyzed and resolved engineering issues, and developed effective training and development programs. Prior to Premier, Weaver served as Director Drilling Solutions Engineering, NAM at National Oilwell Varco.

Tanner Powell, project manager, joins Premier from TechnipFMC, where he was a senior pipeline engineer for 14 years. His vast expertise regarding project management for large-scale projects includes geographic information systems, structural engineering, and infrastructure optimization. Before Premier, Powell worked with TechnipFMC as a senior pipeline engineer.

Harvey G. Acevedo, project manager, was previously a project manager of design and construction for Prism Hotels & Resorts, where he managed new build and renovation projects. He also supported the capital expenditure and brand conversation processes for a variety of hospitality clients. Previously, Acevedo worked for Prism Hotels & Resorts as a project manager.

Luis Enzo Izquierdo, project manager, comes to Premier from KCG Companies, where he was a project manager. At KCG, he liaised between clients, supplies, and owners, and spearheaded $40 million project budgets. Prior to Premier, he worked as a project manager for KCG Companies and Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer for DCK Worldwide.

Ivo Pavlov, project manager, previously served as the district operations manager for Rubicon Oilfield International. He ensured employees’ compliance to various policies and procedures, comprehensively managed budgets, including forecasting, expenses, and financial reporting, and acted as the primary point of contact for clients. Prior to Premier, Pavlov was the district operations manager at Innovex/Rubicon Oilfield International.

Daniel L. Sedlock, project manager, joins Premier from Atrium Hospitality, where he was a corporate project manager. In that position, he conducted site reviews to ensure the quality of work and conformance to drawings, provided engineering ideas to reduce costs while maintaining the integrity of designs, and managed procurement agents and team members to ensure timely delivery of products and services. Before working with Premier, he was previously a corporate project manager for Atrium Hospitality and owner of DCB Consulting LLC.
