Jaros, Baum & Bolles (JB&B) announced that Mahmoud Shouman has joined the firm as the new division lead of its dedicated Building Intelligence (BI) division. In this role, he will work throughout the industry’s major verticals and apply his expertise across building intelligence platforms and integrations with building systems and end-user technologies.
Shouman’s extensive experience in portfolio digitization and use case strategy is complemented by his proficiency with the digital enablement of building systems and the design of BI technologies, software and use cases. His projects include Terminal 2 of the Bangalore International Airport and Multi-Mode Transportation Hub in Bengaluru, India, and the Canadian Federal Government House of Commons in Ottawa, Canada. He also worked on the Dynamic Funds Tower, which received the 2021 BOMA The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award, and the Vancouver Centre II, a LEED-Platinum AAA office tower whose tenant engagement mobile application design was recognized as the LEAP Forward Sustainability and Wellness Winner in 2019.
“Throughout his career, Mahmoud has blazed a trail of excellence and dedication that speaks for itself,” said JB&B Managing Partner Walter J. Mehl, Jr. “The projects he’s worked on have not only been recognized as outstanding in their class by professional organizations, they’re also seen as inspirational and are widely respected by industry leaders. With Mahmoud as our new BI Division Lead, the entire JB&B team is tremendously excited to see the new directions he’ll lead our firm as we continue to expand and refine our practice.”
