J. Calnan & Associates (JC&A), a construction management and pre-construction services firm, has received a grant from the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP), a program that provides resources to business to fund training for current and newly hired employees. In total, the grant is expected to create over 1,500 jobs by 2023 across 95 Massachusetts employers spanning nearly 5,700 employees.
JC&A is using these funds to further improve its customer service offerings and its teams’ proficiency with best-in-class technical tools. The firm also plans to invest further resources into high-performance leadership and soft skills training.
The firm was awarded this grant in large part due to the firm’s long-standing emphasis on risk management, which has remained at the forefront of the firm’s values for over 25 years, it said. This was also complemented by JC&A’s educational, performance, training and technology programs, which ensure that all team members have the resources necessary to become properly oriented for their respective projects, are well-versed in all procedures, and are as informed as possible regarding other topics that are critical to maneuvering in today’s construction landscape.
