Romer Debbas, LLP recently celebrated the success of its merger with Katz & Matz. Hosted at Manhattan’s iconic Waldorf Astoria, the widely attended event welcomed more than 100 guests, including members of the firm, the New York Residential Agent Continuum (NYRAC), and esteemed members of the real estate community.

Announced during the second quarter of 2022, the merger cemented Romer Debbas’s position as New York City’s largest dedicated residential real estate practice and one of the largest real estate practices in the country. The firm was most recently recognized among the city’s top five real estate law firms and named the most active law firm in the residential market, credited with overseeing $1.63 billion in sales, a total comprised of 490 residential and commercial transactions completed during the review period of July 15, 2021, through July 14, 2022.

The Waldorf reception coincided with the official opening of the firm’s newly expanded headquarters at 275 Madison Avenue. Spanning the entire 8th floor, the approximately 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art office was renovated and reimagined to suit the needs of the firm’s dynamic 60-person team that includes approximately 35 lawyers and provide welcoming meeting spaces for colleagues and clients alike.

Led by Founders and Managing Partners Michael J. Romer and Pierre E. Debbas, Romer Debbas is consistently regarded among New York City’s top law firms, and several of the firm’s attorneys are celebrated among prestigious annual rankings such as Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers, and Leaders in the Law, among others.
