At the groundbreaking, New Empire chairman and CEO Bentley Zhao received the “NYC Innovation in Design of 2023 Award” from City Council for the 24-01 LIC project.

Located in an emerging urban landscape at the nexus of the industrial fabric of Long Island City and the residential traditions of Astoria, Queens Plaza North brings an elevated design that will shape the future of the neighborhood. The full-service 19-story residential building will be designed by renowned architecture firm ODA and feature stunning layouts, finishes, and on-site parking. Designed and programmed with modern living in mind, the building will offer a robust suite of services and amenity spaces. The building’s massing maximizes views and natural light, emphasizing the landmark corner, and ultimately creating a gateway to Manhattan along Queens Plaza North. The interior common spaces, designed by Paris Forino, will include a communal outdoor space and penthouse resident lounge, as well as a fully-equipped fitness center.
