Newmark announced that it has arranged an approximately 41,000-square-foot lease for Pursuit Transformation Company Inc. at The Jacx, a new, 700,000-square-foot, Class A office development in Long Island City, New York. Newmark President, New York Tri-State Region David Falk and Executive Managing Director Daniel Levine represented Pursuit in the negotiations. Building owner Tishman Speyer was represented in-house by Megan Sheehan.
Pursuit, a nonprofit social impact organization focused on providing employment training and professional development for careers in technology and artificial intelligence, signed a long-term lease for the entire 14th and 15th floors, where the organization will relocate its New York headquarters.
“The Jacx provides Pursuit with an exceptional environment to support its continued growth and evolution,” said Levine. “The new headquarters will allow the organization to build on its strong presence in Long Island City while creating a workplace that supports its people, mission and long-term objectives.”
The Jacx is Long Island City’s only ground-up, new-development creative office tower and features award-winning design, floor-to-ceiling glass and flexible floor plates. Amenity offerings include the 1.5-acre Quad private outdoor park, Jacx&Co Food Hall with nine eateries and a full-service bar, fitness and wellness offerings and Tishman Speyer’s Studio flexible workspace platform.
The Jacx is located within one block of seven subway lines, providing convenient connectivity to Manhattan, Brooklyn and throughout New York City.
