Sussex Publishers LLC, owner and publisher of “Psychology Today” magazine and psychologytoday.com, has signed a new six-year lease for 3,285 square feet on the second floor of 16 West 22nd St. in the Flatiron District.
Barbara Yagoda of GFP Real Estate LLC represented the landlord, GFP Real Estate, in the transaction; Doug Rice of Rice & Associates LLC represented the tenant. The company is relocating from 115 East 23rd St. and will use the space for its general and executive offices.
Launched in 1967, “Psychology Today” remains the leading media brand devoted to behavioral science. It is found in 35 countries worldwide.
Built in 1910 by the architect William Harvey Birkmire, 16 West 22nd St. is a 12-story, 165,000-square-foot neo-Renaissance store and loft building. On the ground floor is the Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse Cote and Southern Italian favorite Zero Otto Nove.
