Red Ribbon Bakeshop Inc., a Philippines-based bakery brand that offers an array of sweet and savory baked goods inspired by authentic Filipino ingredients and flavors, will open its doors in at 5624 Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield, California, on August 28. While the new store will inherently cater to the city’s Filipino-American community with its many “taste of home” offerings, it also provides an opportunity for curious newcomers to try something new, the company said.
While 40-year-old company is best known for its selection of cakes — which for many Filipinos are a special occasion “must have” — it also features a line-up of pastries.
“For many Filipinos, no holiday, family gathering, or special occasion is complete without a delicious cake or welcoming spread of pastries from Red Ribbon,” said Agnes Briones, business unit head, Red Ribbon Bakeshop Inc. “In addition to serving Bakersfield’s close-knit Filipino community, we look forward to introducing our brand to new customers throughout the city who want to treat themselves and their families to a new and exciting twist on traditional bakery favorites.”
