Grande Central Showroom, a division of Simon’s Hardware, has signed a lease for 3,000 square feet at the CBRC’s Decoration & Design Building on 222 E 59th Street. Newmark Retail’s Executive Managing Director Jason Pruger, Managing Directors Harrison Abramowitz and Adam Weinblatt, as well as Associate Director Lucas Kooyman, were the sole brokers on the transaction.
The Decoration & Design Building is a 17-story, 579,779-square-foot design resource center featuring over 100 luxury showrooms representing over 3,000 leading manufacturers. Visitors to the showroom include some of the biggest names in interior design and architecture. The building also offers unique experiences, including seminars, professional programming, networking opportunities, and exclusive design services.
“We believe that Grande Central Showroom’s choice to relocate to the iconic showroom at the Decoration & Design Building will be a great fit,” said Pruger. “Their well-established brand and luxury product offerings will continue to thrive among the other upscale vendors at the building.”
Founded in 1908, Simon’s Hardware is New York City’s oldest decorative hardware store. The company distributes a range of decorative and functional hardware and plumbing fixtures from manufacturers across Europe and North America and caters to high-end residential construction and remodeling projects. The Decoration & Design Building will be the company’s fourth location in the tri-state area. The Newmark team has worked with Simon’s Hardware for approximately five years, and this lease is their first transaction with the company.
