New York City-based construction and development services firm CNY Group has named Luis Gutierrez as project executive. With over 30 years of experience in the architectural, design and construction industries worldwide, Gutierrez’ expertise spans all aspects of the construction business, from marketing and contracts to LEED building commissioning.
Prior to joining CNY Group, he served as the vice president of construction for 17 years across roles at two firms.
“Luis’s critical eye, unique portfolio of work and international reach has equipped him with a distinct skill set that will bring tremendous value to our growing team,” said Ken Colao, founding principal and president at CNY Group. “As the world’s expectations continue to evolve for the level of quality and efficiency of both the construction process and the buildings themselves, Gutierrez will bring a new level of dexterity to our brand.”
In his new role, Gutierrez will be responsible for the successful execution of each component of a project’s lifecycle, as well as offering advisory and design assist services throughout the project.
He received his bachelor’s degree at Syracuse University’s School of Architecture and later earned a master’s degree of real estate development at Columbia University. Following graduation, he went on to pursue various roles in project management. He is a registered architect (RA) and LEED-GA certified.
