First quarter luxury sales are closing at a healthy pace compared to same quarter last year in Westchester County, Putnam County, Dutchess County, as well as in Greenwich, Rowayton and New Canaan, according to the Q1 Houlihan Lawrence Luxury Market Reportou.
Darien is the exception and lack of inventory is driving the decline in sales. In Westchester County, a handful of sales listed in the high $2Ms closed over asking, bumping these sales into the $3M to $4.99M price bracket, which shows a respectable increase in the first quarter.
