Ascent Developer Solutions LLC, a lender providing customized financing strategies to top-tier real estate investors and developers, has appointed John Richardson as chief credit officer. The announcement comes during a period of continued growth for Ascent, reflecting a sustained demand for flexible, developer-centric financing solutions nationwide.
Bringing nearly two decades of experience in credit and underwriting with established national firms, Richardson’s expertise includes a focus on multifamily housing, along with credit management processes including screening, deal structuring, underwriting, risk management, and credit approval. Richardson joins Ascent from Arbor Realty Trust as managing director, chief credit officer, where he managed an underwriting pipeline exceeding 500 Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans across approximately $5 billion in annual production.
“As we reflect upon a successful two years in operation, we are pleased to welcome John Richardson to our growing team of industry experts,” said Robert Wasmund, founder and CEO of Ascent Developer Solutions. “John’s expertise and close working relationship with leading real estate entities is a testament to the caliber of talent that Ascent attracts as we evolve into our next era.”
Richardson will support Ascent’s nationwide reach while based at the firm’s rapidly expanding New England regional office in Massachusetts.
