Tishman Speyer announced that Fifth Third Bank has expanded its offices at 50 Rockefeller Plaza at Rockefeller Center, increasing its footprint at the building to 32,347 square feet. Fifth Third Bank first leased space at Rockefeller Center in October 2022 and has now expanded by nearly 11,000 square feet. The expansion is coterminous with the bank’s existing lease through February 2034.
Founded in 1858, Fifth Third Bank is one of the largest diversified financial services companies in the United States, providing commercial banking, branch banking, consumer lending, payment processing, investment advisory, and wealth management services to businesses and individuals nationwide.
“Fifth Third Bank’s expansion is a strong endorsement of the workplace experience we continue to build across the Rockefeller Center campus,” said EB Kelly, senior managing director at Tishman Speyer and head of Rockefeller Center. “Since joining the campus in 2022, Fifth Third has become a valued part of our community, and we’re pleased to support their continued growth in New York.”
50 Rockefeller Plaza is a 16-story Art Deco office building located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in the heart of Rockefeller Center. The building offers direct access to the broader Rockefeller Center campus and its collection of amenities, dining, retail, green spaces, and transportation connections, placing customers at the center of Midtown Manhattan’s premier office environment.
“Rockefeller Center has been an exceptional home for our team, and expanding our footprint here was a natural next step for Fifth Third,” said Joshua Landau, head of corporate client banking, Fifth Third Bank. “The combination of a world-class location, amenities and an inspiring workplace experience supports our ability to recruit and retain talented professionals while providing a welcoming destination for clients. Every time colleagues visit from across our footprint, they’re impressed by the energy that Rockefeller Center offers, reaffirming why we chose to deepen our investment here.”
In the lease transaction, Fifth Third Bank was represented by Joe Cabrera, Kevin Torch and Michael Ciotta. Tishman Speyer was represented in-house by Blythe Kinsler.
