Chargeurs, the company at the forefront of the convergence of art, culture, fashion and design, is honoring the work of world-renowned designer Pierre Cardin by serving as lead sponsor of Pierre Cardin: Future Fashion, the Brooklyn Museum’s retrospective of Cardin’s seven-decade career. Opening on July 20, the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing, the exhibit focuses on Cardin’s space-age fashions and futuristic designs.

“We are thrilled to be part of this major cultural moment celebrating one of the most iconic designers,” said Michaël Fribourg, chairman and CEO of Chargeurs. “Pierre Cardin’s futuristic vision and fascination with new fabrics and materials are a consistent source of inspiration to us at Chargeurs, where we share his dedication to innovation.”

As part of the partnership, Chargeurs subsidiary Leach is providing lightboxes that it designed exclusively for the exhibition. Leach’s portfolio of customers includes prestigious institutions such as the Museum of London, the Royal Air Force Museum and the National Charter Monument in Bahrain. Leach is also part of Chargeurs Creative Collection, a global champion of museum heritage and visitor experience solutions recently launched by Chargeurs.

“Pierre Cardin is one of the greatest creative minds of the last century, and Chargeurs’ generous support allows us to provide our audiences with access to a wide array of his groundbreaking designs,” said Anne Pasternak, Shelby White and Leon Levy director, Brooklyn Museum. “We’re very grateful to Chargeurs for its dedication to art, education and culture and we’re pleased to once again be partnering with the company following Chargeurs’ support of our Frida Kahlo exhibition earlier this year.”

This is just one of many philanthropic initiatives Chargeurs is undertaking in the US this year. The company, which works with hundreds of brands such as Chanel, Gucci, Hermès, Ralph Lauren and Uniqlo, regularly provides support for design schools and museums all over the world, notably through Chargeurs Creative Collection.
