International fashion and lifestyle brand 4Funky- Flavours announced the launch of its new collection of coordinating tracksuits for women, men and children. Originally a staple for athletes and sporting events, tracksuits are now a popular athleisure style trend for everyday wear. The newly-released track jackets and bottoms are retro staples for a wardrobe, the brand said, and are versatile enough to be worn to the sports field, to drinks with friends, at a music festival or relaxing at home. The tracksuit pieces can be paired together for a matching set or paired with other coordinating 4FunkyFlavours styles for a unique look.
Founded in 2009 and based in Eindhoven, Netherlands, the brand has a strong working background in the music industry, with the founders having owned a dance record vinyl store, Rare Records, and perform- ing as DJ’s. The brand says that they approach fashion in the same way that they approached music: by constantly trying to surprise their audience with unexpected combinations of styles to inspired customers to use their collections to express themselves.
4FunkyFlavours launched its first spring/summer collection in January 2010 for babies and children, and by the next season it had expanded its reach to children up to 12 years old. The brand introduced its first women’s collection in January 2014, and released a men’s collection in the next year.
4FunkyFlavours’s goal is to create sustainable products with long durability, said the brand, and often chooses to work with smaller companies that it has personal connections with for the added value of sustainability, reliability and quality. The brand also states on its e-commerce site that it is always in search of new fabrics to work with in good consultation with its suppliers in addition to more basic fabrics, such as single jersey.
