The following countries have received letters, which were posted on Truth Social, announcing new tariff rates. The new rates are set to begin on Friday, Aug. 1, 2025. To qualify for the 10% reciprocal tariff currently in place, goods must arrive within port limits and be entered and released by Customs and Border Patrol by the end of day on July 31. Shipments arriving on or after Aug. 1 will be subject to the tariff rate in effect at that time. The pause for China remains in effect until Aug. 11, 2025.
For most of the countries listed below, the White House has not yet published an executive order on its website, and CBP has not issued any formal trade notification. Official confirmation is still needed.
The White House has published the following fact sheets for these trade deals:
- Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Secures Unprecedented U.S.–Japan Strategic Trade and Investment Agreement
- Fact Sheet: The United States and Indonesia Reach Historic Trade Deal
- Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Continues Enforcement of Reciprocal Tariffs and Announces New Tariff Rates
The new tariff rates closely mirror those announced by President Trump on “Liberation Day” in early April, with only minor adjustments.
Please note: Trade policies remain fluid and are subject to change without notice. The details of recently announced trade measures may not be finalized until official government documents are released.

Copper Section 232 Investigation
President Trump has announced that a 50% tariff will be implemented on Aug. 1, 2025, on copper imports.
The secretary of commerce previously launched an investigation to assess the impact of copper imports on U.S. national security. The review covers all forms of copper, including, but not limited to, raw mined copper, copper concentrates, refined copper, copper alloys, scrap copper and derivative products. This investigation is being conducted under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, as amended.
