Inspired by the sun-drenched glamour and glitz of a luxury resort vacation, H&M debuts a new womenswear collection inspired by the HBO Original Series “The White Lotus.” The collection was made in collaboration with Alex Bovaird, costume designer of the series, and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. Just in time for the highly anticipated release of season three, the collection arrives in select H&M stores worldwide and online, having begun February 20.
Full of vivid colors, dynamic prints and powerful silhouettes, the 25-piece resort-themed collection draws from the carefully curated vacation wardrobes of season three’s cast. Blended with a cinematic mood, the collection is designed to be layered and adapted for relaxed poolside days and summer nights.
“The White Lotus collection taps into a real cultural moment–it also meant we could create a glamorous and dreamy resort collection. I believe that as a person, you are more daring on vacation; you can have a different persona, and you communicate that in the way you dress. There’s that versatility, too, so you can pack light. It works for the beach, but you can easily style it for the evening if you want to. It’s the perfect summer vacation wardrobe,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor at H&M.
The collection boasts something for every moment and mood. Key pieces include 1960s-influenced babydoll dresses, boho crochet sets, and short-and-sweet lace looks to romantic long dresses and cover-ups. A long, billowing, high-neck burgundy dress with ruffles capture the high-drama spirit of the collection alongside an orange kaftan and black-and-white halter-neck dress with a flounced hem.
An array of accessories are featured in the vacation inspired collection including woven hats, tote bags and necklaces. The collection also includes swimwear, sunglasses and slides evoking a high-summer look.
“I loved working with the team at H&M on the designs for the collection. We always have this little catchphrase on the show: ‘Nothing’s too much for The White Lotus!’ So, I’m drawn more to the bold patterns and the more sumptuous, billowing pieces. I love that the collection can be worn all day–something you could just throw on to go to breakfast or the pool, or you could add jewelry and wear it to dinner. There’s something for everyone. The collection incorporates the jungle, the show’s bright iconic colors and some gold and glitz that signify a stylish and luxurious resort vacation,” said Alex Bovaird, costume designer of The White Lotus.
The eight-episode third season of HBO’s The White Lotus debuted on Sunday, February 16 on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
