Uniqlo opened its first store in downtown Los Angeles on December 13th at The Bloc shopping center on 7th Street.
The new location is two stories, covering a totally of 12,000 square feet, and will fill one of The Bloc’s newly renovated vacant spaces.
This marks the 10th Uniqlo location to be added to the area, and the site will primarily feature the retailer’s LifeWear brand. In a statement following the announcement, Chief Executive of Uniqlo Hiroshi Taki said, “We are very excited to introduce our Uniqlo apparel, customer service, and shopping experience to downtown LA for the first time. The Bloc is a true destination of inspiration, community, and connection.”
In addition to your normal shopping experience, the new store will offer free hemming to pants costing more than $19.90 and will charge a $5 fee for pants falling under this price. Additionally, orders placed online will be available for store pickup within three day.
