Legendary German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has died in Paris at the age of 85 years old.
Lagerfeld, who served as the creative director of Chanel for decades, continued working up until his passing.
In a statement, Bernard Arnault, CEO of luxury fashion conglomerate LVMH, said “With the passing of Karl Lagerfeld we have lost a creative genius who helped to make Paris the fashion capital of the world and Fendi one of the most innovative Italian houses. We own him a great deal. His taste and talent were the most exceptional I have ever known.”
