adidas Skateboarding unveils Liberty Cup, a silhouette dedicated to 1990s skate culture and the transcendence of tennis style beyond court lines. Nodding to an era where tennis shoes heavily influenced a myriad of skate footwear, the latest delivery evolves its vintage roots into a modern-day offering built for the streets of New York City and beyond.

Constructed with a blend of premium leather, suede and knit-mesh the Liberty Cup features a pop of yellow-green piping along the shoe’s vamp and heel and teal detailing on the heel tab and midsole. The upper is met with a stabilizing vulc-wrap mid and gum sole that incorporates Bounce construction, providing high impact protection and support. The shoe is complete with a molded Adiprene sockliner and Adituff reinforcement for comfort throughout every sesh.

Liberty Cup releases with a short video featuring Frankie Spears, Heitor da Silva and Jamal Smith. The 60 second clip follows the crew through Manhattan out to Flushing Meadows, Queens.

adidas dropped the Liberty Cup its hero Liberty Cup colorway on September 1 via the adidas Skateboarding website and specialty adidas retailers worldwide. Additional colorways will follow throughout the season, all retailing for $90.
