By the Numbers: 3 World Trade Center

Your Square Footage and Dollar Values, Delivered.

After eight years of construction and development, 3 World Trade Center is finally expected to open in the spring. The fourth building in the World Trade Center portfolio, the Rogers Stirk Harbor + Partners-designed skyscraper hopes to transform the downtown landscape, with a particular focus on retail. We’re breaking down what New York has to look forward to in 3 World Trade Center—by the numbers.

2,500,000: The total square footage of 3 World Trade Center when it topped out in 2016.

1,079: 3 World Trade Center’s height in feet, modified from the building’s original planned height of 1,240 feet. The planned spires were removed from the design, and in 2015 the building was cut another 89 feet.

9: The number of entrances to 3 World Trade Center, five of which are from street level, two from the World Trade Center station, and two from the area’s retail complex.

700,000: The square feet of office space advertising media company GroupM signed on for as one of the building’s major tenants, taking up nine floors at the base of the tower.

80: The total number of floors that comprise 3 World Trade Center. 3 World Trade Center’s total height and floors qualify it for supertall status.

150,000: The total square feet of retail which takes up five floors of 3 World Trade Center, including tenants such as Ladurèe and Tiffany’s.

11: The number of subway lines connected to 3 World Trade Center via underground pedestrian concourses, as well as the PATH train.

$2,750,000,000: The estimated cost of 3 World Trade Center, paid to Port Authority by developer Silverstein Properties.
