CBRE announced the promotions of Jaqueline Novotny and Travis Langer. Novotny was promoted to first vice president, while Langer was named manager, Client Strategy and Consulting within the firm’s Capital Markets division.
“Jacqueline and Travis are two of our most accomplished rising stars. Each has a great understanding of the area’s commercial real estate market, from both a tenant’s and owner’s perspective,” said Robert Caruso, managing director of CBRE’s Stamford office, where Novotny and Langer are based. “Both are extremely important to our firm’s collective expertise and are true leaders in this market. We are very proud of their recent promotions and look forward to their continued success.”
Novotny oversees the leasing of over two million square feet in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. She represents some of the largest landlords in the county, including SL Green and Keystone Property Group, major institutional owners and corporations, such as Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation and Marriott International, and boutique owners, like GTJ Management. In addition to her agency experience, Novotny has represented a number of tenants, including Academy Securities, Bank of New York Mellon, Edge Fitness Clubs, Puma Capital, and Verizon Wireless.
Novotny joined CBRE less than four years ago and quickly climbed to the position of vice president. While CBRE’s corporate guidelines establish a five-year threshold of employment to achieve this position, given Jacqueline’s extensive accomplishments within a short period of time, the firm waived its employment threshold.
In addition to her professional achievements, Novotny sits on the development committee for The Carver Foundation in Norwalk, CT. She also served as the co-chair for the Foundation’s 2017 annual gala and is doing so again for Carver’s 80th Anniversary Gala being held this year.

CBRE also promoted Travis Langer to manager, Client Strategy and Consulting. Langer is a well-rounded real estate professional and Chartered Financial Analyst with over a decade of experience. In his new role as manager, Langer will serve as team leader for all analysts on CBRE’s industry-leading Capital Markets team.
“Travis is a huge asset to our Capital Markets team in Stamford,” said Jeff Dunne, vice chairman of Capital Markets and Institutional Properties at CBRE. “His years of experience in the industry has allowed him to serve as a mentor for our junior staff since joining the firm. Now, he’ll be able to use his knowledge and his passion to successfully lead and grow the team in Stamford.”
Mr. Langer joined CBRE’s Capital Markets team three years ago and is responsible for the underwriting and valuation of all asset classes, facilitating all aspects of the disposition process, production of marketing materials and due diligence coordination. Langer has worked on complex and sophisticated assignments for some of some of the largest landlords in the Metro New York area, such as Acadia Realty Trust, RPAI, Urban Edge, SL Green, Clarion Partners, and RXR.
