Retail brokerage Ripco has signed two restaurants and a service provider to leases in Hoboken, New Jersey.
“We continue to see strong demand for retail space in Hoboken. During our leasing efforts we were engaged in conversation with potential tenants on a daily basis,” said Daniel Zappala of Ripco. “The concentrated density of population, high foot traffic, and mix of concepts already in the market provide a unique opportunity to retailers unlike that of a traditional shopping center. With new development in the pipeline, we are certainly in an exciting time for retail in Hoboken.”
Sangria, an authentic Spanish Tapas restaurant with a full-service bar and outdoor seating, has opened its second location with 4,585 square feet at 800 Jackson Street. The space is located at the northwestern end of Hoboken near the light rail station, which has seen continued investment and redevelopment. Zappala represented the tenant, with Alana Friedman and David Townes of Cushman & Wakefield serving as agency brokers.
The Whale Tea, a bubble tea café, will be opening its seventh location at 303 First Street. The 460-square-foot café will provide grab and go options for locals and regular commuters to and from the PATH station. Zappala and Deborah Stone of Ripco served as agency brokers.
Mobile Kangaroo, an Apple-authorized iPhone and Mac repair center, has opened its first New Jersey location at 1000 Jefferson Street. Stone served as the tenant broker, and, with Zappala, as agency broker.
