Global program and construction management consulting firm KMI International has announced reorganization of leadership, promoting Drew Horn to vice president of operations, Chris Mixon to director of estimating and John Becker to director of project management. Nick Harrell has joined as assistant director of finance and Michelle Long has been named director of marketing. KMI Founder John Manning is returning to the CEO role.

Horn oversees estimating, project controls, project management service lines and all operations. Additionally, he is the firm’s director of project controls, where he oversees KMI’s dispute resolution and property condition assessment. He is an active member of several industry associations, including the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), Professional Construction Estimators Association (PCEA), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), IAAPA, and the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA).
Mixon oversees the estimating process and establishes sales goals and growth objectives to plan and execute the necessary bidding activities to support KMI’s strategic goals. He has over 25 years of construction management experience in various areas, including K-12, higher education, retail, food and beverage, industrial, medical and themed entertainment.
Becker oversees project management objectives, including dispute resolution and property condition assessment. His career spans over four decades in the construction industry, working on a diverse portfolio of various domestic and international projects. Becker’s work entails assessing property conditions, estimating the needed support throughout construction, and determining cost-efficient approaches.
Harrell has been hired as the company’s assistant director offFinance, managing all aspects of finance and accounting. He assists with monthly closing processes per Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and performs internal and external accounting audits, taxation requirements, and various corporate reports. He provides support to upper management via reporting, budgeting, and forecast activities.
Long oversees and creates cohesive marketing and business development plans which align with KMI’s strategic goals and growth objectives. Her extensive experience covers establishing solid brand images, identifying critical company needs, developing and executing marketing campaigns, and implementing solutions that drive company revenue. Long manages a diverse team of professionals ensuring quality content, proposals, and internal and external communications adhere to brand standards and promote the company in a competitive and professional manner. She is the Chair of the Employee Stock Ownership Program and helps lead an internal peer group aiding the growth of KMI’s stock value for employees. Additionally, she was appointed to the firm’s Executive Committee.
