Empire State Realty Trust Inc. (ESRT) has signed two new leases with Wokuni, a Japanese izakaya and sushi restaurant, for 3,187 square feet at 1359 Broadway and fast-casual sushi restaurant Gouie Sushi for 1,367 square feet at the Empire State Building (ESB).
Wokuni will join other notable food and restaurant options at the building, which includes Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, Starbucks and Panera Bread. Brett Weinstock of F&B New York represented Wokuni in the lease negotiations. Fred Posniak of ESRT and Andrew Mandel and Morgan Singer of Ripco represented the property owner.
Gouie will join the roster as one of ESB’s seven in-building dining options, which include Chipotle, Chopt, Juice Press, Tacombi, State Grill and Bar and the new Starbucks Reserve. Weinstock and Julian Hitchcock of F&B New York represented Gouie Sushi in the lease negotiations. Posniak, senior vice president, leasing of ESRT and Matt Olge, Corey Zolcinski and Patrick Smith of JLL represented the property owner.
