Spanish footwear company Meermin Mallorca Shoes is taking its first retail store at 123 Mercer Street in Soho, relocating from a second-floor showroom space at 130 Greene Street. Based in Mallorca, Spain, the family-owned shoe retailer crafts quality Goodyear welted shoes with storefronts in Paris, Madrid and New York.
The tenant signed a 10-year lease with property owner SL Green Realty Corp. for 2,153 square feet on the ground floor and 669 square-feet on the lower level. The tenant was represented by JLL’s Charlotte Elstob, senior vice president, and Matthew Schuss, associate vice president.
“We are pleased to help Meermin Mallorca secure its first retail space in America,” said Schuss. “The commitment to SoHo by a leading international retailer highlights the enduring appeal of New York City as we emerge from the pandemic.
