Newmark’s Gary Alterman represented the landlord for the store located at 750 Broadway (at the southeast corner of Eighth Street). The location, a former Gap Men’s store, features 4,400 square feet on the ground floor and a lower level of approximately 3,000 square feet. The store is slated to open December 29.
“I’ve helped Housing Works for years with leases for their thrift shop business, so it’s really exciting to be a part of their new Housing Works Cannabis Co venture,” said Philipps, a Katz director. “I’m happy for Housing Works Cannabis Co to be selected as one of 30-something recipients from over 900 applicants to receive a license from the Office of Cannabis Management to get in from the start on this new legal and regulated retail.”
