Real estate construction giant Suffolk has added Suzanne Roeder to its executive leadership team as chief growth officer. In this new role, Roeder will ensure alignment of vital business functions and oversee the strategy, business development, marketing, people and culture, and IT teams. She will report to Suffolk Chairman and CEO John Fish.
Roeder will guide the connectivity of regional-specific strategies in partnership with regional and center of excellence leadership to continue expanding Suffolk’s diverse portfolio of work nationally across high-growth sectors including life sciences, higher education, aviation, mission critical and government buildings, the company added.
“Suffolk must have alignment across our entire leadership team if we are going to meet our ambitious growth plans over the next several years,” Fish said. “Suzanne has deep knowledge and experience leading corporate strategies and functions that are critical to growth.”
Previously, Roeder worked at global management consulting firm Bain & Company for more than 20 years, serving in both client-facing and internal operator roles, including associate partner, chief operating officer and executive vice president of global strategic initiatives. Most recently, she served as the chief business operations officer at Perch, a technology-driven commerce company that acquires and operates brands at scale using the Amazon platform.
She earned her MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management and her B.S. in systems engineering at the University of Virginia.
