Fast casual restaurant Shake Shack recently marked the opening of its first Garden State drive-thru location at 240 Grand Ave. in North Brunswick, bringing another quality national tenant to MainStreet NB. Located at 2300 Route 1, the mixed-use, transit-oriented development is being developed by Garden Commercial.
The 3,500-square-foot Shake Shack features a double drive-thru, only the 32nd out of Shake Shack’s 500-plus locations to have the experience. Patrons can dine-in or take out; pickup and delivery are available from the brand’s Shack App or website.
“Shake Shack has a loyal following, and we are thrilled to bring this strong, nationally recognized brand to MainStreet NB,” said Garden Commercial’s Michael Gartenberg, director. “The opening represents another milestone for this master-planned project’s retail component and introduces a welcome new dining option for the entire North Brunswick community.”
Gartenberg served as in-house representative for the Shake Shack lease; the tenant was represented by Jeffrey Howard of Ripco Real Estate.
The Shake Shack opening will be followed by another fast casual dining addition at MainStreet NB. Chipotle is set to launch operations for its new 2,600-square-foot location with a digital drive-thru order pickup Chipotlane at the property in late February.
