Construction giant Suffolk announced that Aleksey Chuprov has joined the company’s growing data team as vice president of data analytics. He will leverage his project management and strategy consulting experience to drive Suffolk’s data and AI strategy, ensuring project efficiency in a time where predictability in construction is more important than ever.
Chuprov will work closely with Jit Kee Chin, who has recently been named Suffolk’s chief technology officer, expanding upon her former responsibilities as chief data and innovation officer. In this newly created role, Chin will lead the company’s overall technology strategy, harmonizing technology decisions across the enterprise and ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term technology investment goals.
“Suffolk is an industry leader in our approach to technology and we will continue accelerating our data and analytics function as the world turns to digital solutions and artificial intelligence,” Chin said. “As we expand and standardize our use of data across the project lifecycle, Aleksey’s strategic mindset and technical expertise will help Suffolk continue to lead the industry in tech-enabled innovation.”
Chuprov joins Suffolk after six years with McKinsey & Company, most recently as an associate partner, where he served clients in construction, engineering, energy and manufacturing industries with a specific focus on capital investment strategy and portfolio optimization, project value improvement and delivery excellence. Prior to this, he was a project manager and offshore rig operations manager for Schlumberger, where he managed sizeable teams and a complex ecosystem of subcontractors and partners to construct and operate advanced offshore rigs.
