Gravity Vault, one of the largest rock climbing brands in the country, has opened at Samanea New York, the new retail, entertainment and dining complex located at 1500 Old Country Rd. in Westbury, N.Y.

The Gravity Vault Westbury offers over 18,500 square feet of climbing terrain including bouldering, top-rope, and lead climbing walls, designed to make rock climbing accessible and fun for all ages and abilities.

“We are very excited to open in Westbury,” said Mark Davidson, president of The Gravity Vault Westbury.  “The community’s response to our first Long Island location in Melville, which opened in 2017, was tremendous and this new location is even bigger with new attractions and special walls for young children. The space at Samanea New York is ideal with 45-foot-high ceilings in a bright, open and high energy environment with a great location in Western Nassau. Come join us for some adrenaline inducing fun!”

The gym features over 250 climbing routes at any one time and includes wall heights that extend 45 feet high, with views out across Long Island. There is a dedicated kid’s climbing area, an augmented reality climbing wall featuring interactive climbing games projected onto the climbing wall, an Olympic-style lead climbing wall, a bouldering cave, a climbing training area with two adjustable training boards, a state-of-the-art cardio and fitness room and a retail store.

For beginners, The Gravity Vault Westbury offers an Education Station with classes to teach top-rope, belay and lead climbing. Guests can also choose to book a private one-hour staff training session for two or more climbers. Those who have some climbing experience can purchase a day pass, which gives them access to all that the facility has to offer from open to close.

“Located on the second floor, right alongside 43 feet of open window space, climbers will be treated to a spectacular outside view over 70 feet high off the ground, from an exceptional, newly designed open space,” said Dominic Coluccio, Head of Real Estate, Samanea New York.
