Syska Hennessy Promotes Four to Associate Partner

International engineering firm Syska Hennessy Group has elevated four professionals to associate partner. The group represents three different offices within the U.S.

The new associate partners are: Melonee Jenkins, PE, LEED AP BD+C, based in New York; John Samson, PE, LEED AP BD+C, based in Washington, D.C.; Frank Sanchez, CPD, GPD, ASSE 6060, based in Chicago and Kenny Trowers, based in New York.

“Melonee, John, Frank, and Kenny are known for their strong client relationships and effective project management,” says Cyrus Izzo, Syska’s president and CEO. “But their colleagues also look to them for training and mentorship. In other words, they exemplify leadership both externally and internally.”

Jenkins has more than 14 years of experience in mechanical engineering design. Her project portfolio includes offices, education, healthcare, laboratories, data centers, airports and government facilities. Licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and New York, she is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Society of Black Engineers and the Society of Women Engineers.

Samson, who has more than 20 years of experience in HVAC design and construction, specializes in project management, high-performance building design, LEED certification, engineering asset evaluation, commissioning, construction administration and computational fluid dynamics. He is licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York and Virginia, and is a member of ASHRAE.

Sanchez has more than 20 years of experience in the design and specification of plumbing, fire suppression and medical gas systems. His areas of expertise include project analysis, code compliance, design and construction administration for multiple facility types, such as healthcare, higher education, hospitality, laboratory and commercial buildings.

Trowers, who has more than 14 years of experience, leads Syska’s Smart Building practice nationally. In this capacity he guides clients through the complexities of digital transformation in the built environment, including programming, design and development. A SmartScore accredited professional, he serves on the executive steering committee of the New York Chapter of the Building Intelligence Group, which educates, supports and connects people involved with intelligent buildings.

Along with the four promotions to associate partner, Syska elevated five employees to senior associate and 10 to associate.
