Real estate solutions and services company MRI Software announced new AI capabilities within MRI Property Management X (PMX) that will drive efficiency and reduce headaches for property management and accounting professionals. These new capabilities expand the range of AI-powered solutions already available to MRI clients.

“Real estate firms know that AI has the potential to transform how they operate, but many are still figuring out how to leverage it for their business,” said Terry Keller, chief technology officer at MRI Software. “With these new capabilities, we’re removing the barriers. There’s no need to evaluate new tools or go through lengthy implementations. The value is immediate, and it’s built right into the software they already use.”

The new AI capabilities are made possible by the smart, hyperconnected MRI Agora platform, which enables real estate businesses to make better decisions through connected data, automate mundane tasks and differentiate through technology.

MRI has launched an agentic AI-based workflow in MRI Property Management X, which the company said should significantly shorten the time spent on month-end close processes while ensuring that finance and accounting teams maintain human oversight and control. For example, property management firms could complete reconciliation tasks in one-third of the time it currently takes to manually reconcile tenant ledgers to the general ledger.

The new agent is part of Agora Actions, MRI’s broader agentic AI initiative, designed to enhance the product experience and streamline workflows through AI agents.

Another addition, MRI’s Ask Agora, is an AI-powered conversational chat that allows users to interact with their real estate data in natural language and get immediate, relevant answers. The enhanced capability now includes an in-page AI assistant that offers contextual insights, recommendations and guidance to further boost productivity and drive decision-making. For example, a credit controller could use Page Assistance to understand a tenant’s outstanding debts and then prompt it to create and send a communication reminding the tenant to pay the rent.
