Douglas Elliman recently held a celebratory unveiling of the rooftop park at 49 Chambers, a luxury condo in Tribeca.

Built in 1912 as the former home of Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank, 49 Chambers was transformed by developers The Chetrit Group into a collection of 99 one- to three-bedroom residences and penthouses, many with home offices and available for immediate occupancy.

Originally designed by architect Raymond F. Almirall, the building has been recast and restored by global architecture and design studio Woods Bagot. The amenities were designed by Gabellini Sheppard Associates and include 20,000 square feet of resort-like amenities including a 7,000-square-foot private rooftop park, al-fresco grills and a full-service outdoor kitchen, all encased by the building’s unique carved limestone and historic ornamentation.

The event included cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and views from the new rooftop.
