Me and General Design, a sought after full-service interior design studio based out of Brooklyn, NY, has unveiled a new model residence at One Sixteen – a collection of 86 new condominiums in the heart of the Rockaways in Queens. The new model home in the residential beachside building showcases the property’s classic interiors, natural textures and high-quality finishes.
The thoughtfully designed residence gives prospective buyers the opportunity to experience design that bridges the city and beach life of the Rockaways, while also providing a deeper sense of the overall laid-back lifestyle at One Sixteen. Utilizing classic textures, colors, finishes and materials, the models offer something new and welcoming that pulls inspiration from the surrounding neighborhood.
Furnishings include a CB2 Lola round concrete table; a CB2 Acacia wood bed; a West Elm Upholstered Bed; Room & Board concrete bar stools; and a DWR Tray coffee table. Each residence features a Swick Board 2.0, a custom-crafted upcycled surfboard created by Me and General Design laced with speakers and WiFi connectivity. The refurbished Board was inspired by the designers’ love of the ocean and combines the synergy of music and the waves, marrying music and the surfboard together – perfect for this beachfront community.
