Celebrity American interior designers & television hosts Nate Berkus and his husband Jeremiah Brent have sold their West Village gut renovated, stunning townhouse at 66 Charles Street, on one of the city’s most picturesque tree-lined streets in an off-market deal for $13.5 million.
The unnamed buyer is a Westchester family.
The seller’s broker was Core Real Estate’s Emily Beare and the buyer’s broker was Oxford Property Group/Spire Group’s Kiran Mummidichetty.
Berkus and Brent purchased the 18-ft.-wide townhouse only two years ago in 2019 for a reported $9.75 million. The 3,400 sq. ft. home, that they share with their two small children, Poppy and Oskar, was featured in Architectural Digest.
Built in 1899, the townhouse features four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and outdoor space in the backyard garden and rooftop. A mix of old and new, it boasts an Italianite landmarked facade and an open, double-height parlor floor with a glass curtain wall.
There’s also a double-height white oak book case, along with a full-floor main bedroom, a wine cellar and sweeping staircase.
