Broadway Construction Group (BCG), a premier construction management and general contracting firm, announced that Everard Martin has been named president, effective immediately. In his new role, Martin will manage the entire organization, oversee all active construction projects and continue to expand the company’s client base.
Since joining Broadway Construction Group in 2015, Martin has been a valued member of the organization’s management team, overseeing some of the firm’s most significant and challenging projects for clients including RXR Realty and GFI Development Company. As president, Martin will streamline internal communications, while leading a strategic growth initiative that will include filling a number of newly established roles, including a director of marketing, director of business development, director of operations, safety director and director of risk management.
“It’s a true honor to be named president of BCG, and to be tasked with growing the company and enhancing the internal processes and safeguards we currently employ,” said Martin. “Our goal at BCG is to serve as more than a construction manager and general contractor, but as a true partner to our clients, and we’ve consistently demonstrated to our clients our unwavering commitment to helping them achieve their goals. As BCG continues its growth trajectory, I’m eager to work with the rest of our management team to ensure that we continue providing clients with a premier level of services, while maintaining our core commitment to safety across all our projects.”
Martin brings to BCG more than 35 years of diversified industry experience managing projects ranging from major interior buildouts to the construction of high-end residential buildings and commercial, municipal, and infrastructure developments. He specializes in critical advanced planning, managing difficult staging and logistics, fast-track master scheduling, and operations maintenance.
Prior to joining BCG, Martin worked at Plaza Construction for 20 years, where he oversaw construction at marquee projects, including Morgan Stanley’s $500 million Purchase campus, JPMorgan’s Park Avenue headquarters, The Westport, a residential project, condominium projects including Chartwell House and 170 East End Avenue, and several others. Earlier in his career, he worked at the New York State Dormitory Authority, and George A. Fuller Construction.
“Everard’s wide-ranging experience within the construction industry gives him a unique insight into every project BCG undertakes, and his leadership and organizational skills are second to none,” said BCG’s Chief Operating Officer and Partner Joe Aiello. “With Everard at the helm, BCG is well-positioned to expand its construction portfolio to include a greater number of Tri-State area projects across the residential, hospitality, commercial and public sectors.”
Martin holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Keller School of Management / DeVry University, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Pratt Institute of Technology.
